Sydney Amis is an associate attorney at Moradi Neufer LLP with more than five years in the practice of family law, representing clients in dissolution, child custody, and support matters across Orange County and Los Angeles. She delivers client-centered representation grounded in advocacy, compassion, and respect, equipping clients with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed decisions through complex and emotionally charged dissolution proceedings.
Known for an empathetic and attentive approach, Sydney guides clients through every stage of litigation while fiercely advocating for their interests and pursuing effective resolutions. Her practice centers on the issues that most often decide a family law case at the trial-court level: custody and parenting arrangements, child support, and spousal support, where careful preparation and steady courtroom advocacy protect a client’s standing. Much of that work involves not only establishing these arrangements but modifying them as a family’s circumstances change: when custody or parenting time shifts, a support order often needs to change with it, and Sydney helps clients pursue the modifications that reflect their current arrangement, walking them through what the court will consider and the documentation that supports the request.
Sydney’s professional roots are in Orange County. Before joining Moradi Neufer, she practiced family law at a boutique firm in Orange County, and she served as a certified law clerk with the Bette and Wylie Aitkin Family Protection Clinic, where she gained hands-on experience advocating for individuals and families facing challenging legal circumstances. That background gives her clients an advocate who knows the Orange County family courts, with a practice that also serves the greater Los Angeles area.
She completed her undergraduate studies at Loyola Marymount University and earned her Juris Doctor from the Dale E. Fowler School of Law at Chapman University in Orange, California.
